"NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD"

Romans 8:35-38

32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

"WHATS HOLDING YOUR LIFE TOGETHER DURING THE STORMS OF LIFE?"

THE ANCHOR HOLDS

I have journeyed
Through the long dark night
Out on the open sea
By faith alone
Sight unknown
And yet his eyes were watching me

Choruses
The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As i faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I've had visions
I've had dreams
I've even held them in my hand
But i never knew
They would slip right through
Like they were only grains of sand

I have been young
But i am older now
And there has been beauty these eyes have seen
But it was in the night
Through the storms of my life
Ohh thats where God proved his love to me.

Laughter Is Good For The Soul----Proverbs 17:22

PROMISES OF GOD

Are you standing on the promises of God today?

As you meditate on God’s word your way will be prosperous, Joshua 1:8, NKJV. "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

FROM THE WORD OF GOD

Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

PROMISES OF GOD

Are you standing on the promises of God today?

We are promised the Holy Spirit. Luke 11:13, NKJV. "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

PROMISES OF GOD

Are you standing on the promises of God today?

God has promised forgiveness, 1 John 1:9, NKJV. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

 HOME MADE FURNITURE

I was thinking the other day, how Dad made furniture for our family back in my earlier days.

I remember watching him make chairs during the winter months from hickory lumber.

He made sure the pieces were good and straight and close to the  size he needed for the chairs he wanted to make.

Winter time was the best time of the year to do that , because it was slow for him on the farm .

It was interesting for me to watch him make the chairs, as there was no T.V.or much of anything else to do during the winter, watching him reminds me of today; how easily we can turn to You Tube and watch things being made on it.

Dad's work shop was small and he usually worked near  the fire place in our front room,

Tools he used; nothing like the ones we have today, his tools were crude at best in today's standards.

Looking at the many fancy ones we have at our disposal today, I don't know how he managed with the ones he had.

The chairs he made were strong and comfortable chairs some lasted for many years .

Occasionally I was chosen to help with some of the chair making when Dad required an extra hand.

The chairs he made were not as comfortable perhaps as the ones you find today in front of The Cracker Barrel Restaurants.

But to our family they had a special kind of  comfort that money can't buy , the love he wove into each lace of Hickory bark bottoms made them priceless.

After Dad's retirement, He was able to further His chair making, into bed making.

He made marvelous beds for Mother and each of his children, some would say they were nothing short of master pieces.

We were certainly fortunate to have a Dad like him, who could do so many things with what little he had, to make life a little easier and better for the family.

FROM THE WORD OF GOD

Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

PROMISES OF GOD

Are you standing on the promises of God today?

He has promised an end to death, sorrow, and pain. It’s in the Bible, Revelation 21:4, NKJV. "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

THOUGHT FOR YOUR DAY

I choose gentleness… Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice may it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself. Max Lucado

Ways to Have a Great Day

1. Listen to or read something.

A good way is to fill your quieter moments reading from the Bible and listening to some gospel music,

2. Make your body stronger and more resilient.

Take time each day to exercise and eat well--at least enough so you're headed in the right direction!

3. Review  your plans for the future.

Is what you're doing fitting into your long-term plans and goals.

4. Do at least one thing that's worthwhile.

Make an extra effort to find something to do that makes a difference and improves the world.

5. Help somebody less fortunate.

Do something for somebody who needs help. Do it anonymously, if possible.

6. Spend some time appreciating what you have.

If you don't stop and feel grateful, once in awhile you won't enjoy yourself and what you have later.

7. Write down at least one good memory.

In future months and years, those memories will  remind you why you work so hard.

8. Always make prayer a part of your day.

Preferably early in the day. Thank God, for what He has done for you, let Him know much you love Him,

Nature's Way
© Heidi Campbell

Published: July 2007

Upon a nice mid-spring day,
Let's take a look at Nature's way.
Breathe the scent of nice fresh air,
Feel the breeze within your hair.

The grass will poke between your toes,
Smell the flowers with your nose.
Clouds form shapes within the skies,
And light will glisten from your eyes.

Hear the buzzing of the bees,
Climb the tallest willow trees.
Look across the meadow way,
And you shall see a young deer play.

Pick the daisies as they grow,
Watch a gentle cold stream flow.
Know the sounds of water splash,
Catch its glimmer in a flash.

When altogether all seems sound,
Lay yourself upon the ground.
Take a moment to inhale,
And listen to Nature tell her tale..

THOUGHT FOR YOUR DAY

I have been young, and now I am old and I have never seen a time such as we are living in today.

In a matter of weeks, the skyscrapers have gone dim, many that work in them  work at home now.

University's are silent ,pews are empty, weddings months in the making canceled.

Living seems to have stopped except in the hospitals, and first res-ponders professions, where even the workers there fight to keep themselves and others from dying.

Wars have taken a break it seems, no shots  or bombs exchanged on a large scale, our world seems to be on; pause.

Is there anyone who has the power to use a time such as this for a greater purpose? With so much pain and death and uncertainty going on and still be able to make something beautiful out of it?

Yes it happened once before. One person Jesus Christ , offering to give His own life, through pain and death to save the human race from a more deadly virus than COVID 19 the sin virus.

Our science  and medical  workers are tirelessly working day and night to find a cure for the COVID virus,, with little achievement so far.

If they were suddenly able to find  a cure for COVID 19, I can't imagine anyone rejecting it, Just as I can't  imagine anyone rejecting the only cure for the sin virus. which is away more deadly for our soul and body.

The cure for sin was discovered by God ? The God who made us, left Heaven and came to earth for the sole purpose of taking the 'virus' Himself, in order to produce its only Cure.

And with His own blood, He paid the price in order to be able to offer the Cure to all, without cost. In effect, He took our illness, and in exchange gave us His life

Why would anyone reject the cure for either of these virus's , guess you'll have to ask them.
