There are many things, that are intriguing about Jesus; in His ministry, he said things, that  will cause you to scratch your head, in wonderment.
Consider these paradoxical  statements, in Mark 8:35 He said "To live you must die". Then in Matthew 19:21 He said "To gain you must give" and later in Matthew 5: 4 He stated "Blessed are those who morn".
It is  pronouncements like these, that cause us to wonder if Christ might be out of touch with the world we live in.
Has He really walked a mile in our shoes, been there and done the things we go through, since we know He is always right with his thinking, then the only thing left for us to do is check our own, the Bible says in Isa: 55:8  "My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways.
So rather than trust our own instincts and rely on what we understand, we must yield to Him and ask Him to help us and give us the courage and boldness to follow His ways even when they seem up side down. or they make no sense to us.

So  Father since what seems right to us, is not always what is right with you, help us to know the difference. and live ours lives according to your will.not ours.

Computers are an important part of our lives, occasionally they get infected with a computer virus, then what was so useful and helpful, can start running a muck unable to function as they were designed to do.

Many times only a major reprogramming of  their corrupted  hard drives, will restore them to usefulness.

This situation can be compared to another virus, the virus of sin, God created our first parents perfect and with out sin, their every need met  and their relationship with God UN-blemished, but they rebelled against God, sin entered the world---- and since that day, the human heart has been infected with the deadly "virus" of sin.

Our fellowship with God was destroyed, we became morally weak and corrupt.

And like the computer we must be reprogrammed, Christ came to conquer the "virus" of sin! When He enters our lives ,He begins to remake us from within, the "virus" no longer has absolute control.

Someday God will remove the "virus" of sin for-ever and all creation will be renewed.

         Romans  8:  21
Because the creature itself, also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption, into the glorious liberty, of the children of God.

A Winter's portrait, so bountiful,

Nature's gift indeed...

Though lurking are the lifeless flowers

Returned to earth as seed.

All sacred gifts sent unto us

Are made by God's own hands -

And always, they are precious ones

To love just as He plans!

While lillies in the valley rest,

And clad are crystal trees...

A lifeless day revives the soul

Through snowflakes on a breeze.

These heavenly troves to come our way,

So beautiful, big or small...

Will touch our lives through each new day -

God's gifts... they're best of all!

Therefore I live for today---
Certain of finding at sunrise
Guidance and strength for the way,
Power for each moment of weakness,
Hope for each moment of pain,
Comfort for every sorrow,
Sunshine and joy after the rain!
Out West an old mountaineer had a violin that was out of tune, he liked to play the violin to entertain himself, but had no way of tuning it proper.
One day as he was listening to his radio the thought came to him to write a letter to the station  asking them to sound the tone of "A" at a certain time on a certain day.
The officials at the station decided they would accommodate the old fellow after  receiving  his letter and on that particular day  the true tone of "A" was broadcast.
His violin was thus tuned and once more his cabin echoed with joyful music.
When we live apart form God our lives get out of tune, just as the old fellow needed a true sound to re tune his violin, we also need the true sound of Gods word to re tune our lives.
As this new year begins, ask God to help you tune your life everyday to his word, so your life will echo with harmony and joy to those around you.

For many years i have sought to walk with God each and every day of my life, to start the day i turn to His word the Bible to give me strength and wisdom for the day and for the future.
When i think of the many good things He has done for me, I realize that even when things were hard and unclear His love is still just as real and powerful in the darkness as it is in the light.
Beauty, wealth, power, love, marriage and pleasure, are good things but they're not the best, the best is loving God.
That's why we should make time for Him each and every day of our lives.
The Psalmist declared in Psalms 73: 28 " It is good for me to draw close to God".
To "Draw close" to Him take a few minutes each day to read some verses from the Gospels (Matthew,Mark, Luke,John).
Put your self in the story, for example in the place of the leper He healed with His loving touch.
There you will find the good life He has promised for you.
