Union Baptist

As a small lad I attended church with my family, in the Union community, our little Church was called "Union Baptist " located on the Cane Creek Black Water road.

We walked a mile or so to the church, no cars and transportation available to us like we have today.

We attended  service once a month  as our Pastor shepherded  three other  small churches in the surrounding communities, and needed to  shared the other Sundays with them.

Services a little different back then than  they are in  church's  today,  the message the pastor preached hasn't changed though.

On a hill far away  stood an ole rugged cross where Christ died for  the sins of the world.

He's still the Savior of the whole world today, no matter what church you attend or how you get there.

His love for the people of the world will never change, His will for each one is to be saved, and filled with His Holy spirit.

Also His will for each of us  is to share His love with our family's ,our friends, and our love ones.

I love this poem about God's will for our lives.

Just to be tender, just to be true,
Just to be glad the whole day through,
Just to be merciful, just to be mild,
Just to be trustful as a child,
Just to be gentle and kind and sweet,
Just to be helpful with willing feet,
Just to let love be our daily key,
That is God's will for you and me.
Unknown poet;

Does this sound like His will for you ? It can be if you are willing to let Him use your life.

Time's have changed, people have changed, Church's have changed,  all since I was growing up, but God's will changes not.

The same yesterday, today, and for ever.

Until next time,  God Bless.
