Being born in the South gives you an advantage on something's .
Such as some of the language used in describing everyday life in the South.
In case you've never heard about the Southern lingo.
I will share with you some of it I was exposed to in my up bringing.
Speaking Southern lingo.
Trying to catch a pig or fast animal "That thing was as fast as greased lightening."
When going somewhere... a reply to when you might return... "Be back directly."
Children playing with a small cat or dog" You're gona wool that thing to death."
Someone walking in unexpected "Look what the cat dragged in."
When something was really good "You can't beat that with a stick."
Replying to how are you? "Fine as Frog hair."
Children crying "What ya pout in about?"
When something isn't straight "Crooked as a dogs hind leg."
Suddenly finding something that was lost "If it had been a snake it would have bit you."
Enjoying the fruit of your labor "Living high on the hog."
Hope ya, enjoyed speaking the Southern lingo with me .
Speaking true Southern lingo is fading away , the young generation isn't much into it now days.
The lingo was a bit unusual and somewhat funny, but it got the point across, say what ya may about it.
Until Next time. God Bless.
